Parliament must be efficient addressing public interests

By: Sivuyile S. Sesi @756Writing

Parliament is where public representatives which we have bestowed our power take best and refined process to take decisions and provide direction for the majority. Parliament curb all the unnecessary fighting because everyone knows there are processes to follow. In parliament its a complex context with text to breakdown processes so we need to ensure that people are fit, capable, and capacitated so we can keep them well accountable.

The text or information about the parliament is some informations about the people who represent millions of South Africans with those people interests together, if we protect and refine them, we are to benefit from the purpose of the parliament. Remember its not easy to build than to destroy.

Parliament is an international institution respectfully used in every country. It’s importance has led decisions direction of almost everything today. If its used well for its purpose today there is no other better thing than parliament in politic. Even the presidential system uses parliament. To disprove it and come up with a better system that is changed and different to the world need great will. To not trust today’s parliament you must know what you talking about because it has evolved with new ideas you would need to work hard to get into the heads and hearts of the people and gain their trust.

All over the world there seems to be no better alternatives to parliament.

Parliament is not as open as public so what we do through consensus should be in accordance with serving real best public interest. Because of limited resources and time we cant do just anything it must prioritize and focus in doing things. We don’t know everything, we don’t live in an island, we not isolated, research and development is important to benefit even more from what parliament can do for us.

Parliament should serve the people. Those in parliament should be the representatives of the people. Just because the people are many so the parliament should represent the best interest of the people. Parliament as an institution has been established and refined because there has been a found need it. It is a machine that has functioned for the state or condition you see in any country. Its where politics are processed and national or state decisions are taken. It is not meant to deceive people. Its rules must be binding, fair, right, just with the law acceptable with the public. It must abide, adopt ways of doing things that the public can benefit. Consensus is important in parliament.

Lets keep Africa violence free for us and the world

By: Sivuyile S. Sesi

When I look at Boko Haram as they keep on claiming lives in Africa, it seems that some victimisation is negotiated, you get a normal feel, when you listen making you see that you are an outsider. I don’t know maybe there isn’t real voice. Africa is failing. Our democracy in South Africa is still only 21 years old lets continues doing good.

Lets be clear about what is working for us and what is not.

In South Africa there is xenophobia, black communities fighting with people from other parts of Africa. In the township Somalians and Ethiopians shops looted. Is it a mindset, business, culture, religion, poverty or what is the problem because people are shooting each other? Recently about three young people died from the attacks that started in Soweto.

There is those who do their thing believing  that “revolution will not be televised.” They do what they want in Africa. Is Africa weaker than them or we depend on them  that they should make people suffer? If few people are true in dealing with the problem they should get the needed support from the world. Good over evil in Africa.

As people we need to become more fair, in our different part of the world we still have to continue to help ourselves so that we catch up with the world. If we do one thing right then other interdependent parts of our society get a better solution.

No more xenophobia, abuse of women, young girls and children, no more war and terrorism in Africa. If we conquer that we will be able to give a good focus on African development and growth as it is what important especially this moment in time where Africa is the fastest growing region.

Saudi Arabia is a good example. Its one of those small steps or gestures that make a positive difference. They had just lost their king, Abdullar at age 90, who was the oldest monarch in the world. Now the oldest monarch is queen Elizabeth II of England. Like Nelson Mandela of South Africa who passed away December 2013 at age 95, his family headed by his grandson Chief Mandla Mandela of AbaThembu,  Mandelas family is been going through legal battle for the house Mandela left for Graca Machel as his wife. Winnie Mandela the divorced wife of Nelson Mandela is culturally claiming the house against legal will. From such important step as having a family of Africans mix, there seems to be problems. I ask myself are we suppose to live separately or isolated? Are such things as the western legal wills, foreign religions, etc causing problems to the African society. People became annoyed, irritated, in conflict, intolerance, became angry, and make wrong conclusions? We had been through a lot and I believe there is still better solutions.

Like Nelson Mandela King Abdullar has left Saudi Arabia a world beloved country because of good leadership. May their souls Rest In Peace. By keeping a positive Africa with the world more people benefit. When you positive you attract positive things and when you negative you attract negative things. It was good that United States President Barrack Obama and first lady Michel Obama made a quick stop in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to pay respect to the late king Abdullar, holding a meeting with new leader king Salman abdulaziz.

From the Saudi Arabia story they show you that from all the worlds human rights to fully get them it depend on us. Lets also be responsible in Africa  and stand up for our rights. A black woman married to a black man with African decency did it. That should uplift Africa from all its other challenges.

For me as a South African I am more inspired by the Saudi Arabia story. For all in Africa should also get such rights with understanding.
