Mandela practically liberated us.

By: Sivuyile S. Sesi – (t) @756Writing

Nelson Mandela liberated us by practically liberating and using himself for positive change. That’s one of the lesson we can take from people like him as young people.

For other people to say Mandela was wrong for taking Nobel Peace Prize with FW de Klerk is negative. Us people never wanted us to move forward. Its like saying that Lady’s Smith Black Mambazo as an African band won Grammys because they were using no innocent western instruments. That negativity just marginalizes us to the world that wanted the best for this country during its hard time of apartheid. We can’t allow us to be a closed and isolated nation.

Mandela died as an international icon he had a right to take that prize. He strategically looked at the bigger picture than feeling sorry and bitter for himself. He had to build a road we can follow on. The country became good for us all to live in and we should be proud of what we managed to achieve. We are the only African country in the G20, we are an emerging economy, the world trusts us for big international events and commitments, etc. Observe his last days he was the whole world focus.

Mandela liberated us by liberating and using himself. Archbishop emeritus Desmond Tutu, who has worked close with Mandela even questioned why Afrikaans community was not given platform at his funeral because he with that community worked hard to ensure that they become part of this young democratic nation.

Their voices standing at his funeral would have been good for the legacy he worked hard for.

People like Tutu and Mandela are very good at using themselves as the tool to liberate themselves and others. We should practically learn from them. Still more young people can be great at their own right.

Trevor Manuel would make a perfect tenderpreneur.

By: Sivuyile S. Sesi (t) @756Writing

Trevor Manuel could make a good tenderpreneur. He should run a people service business, that fits perfectly with his credentials. People trust him and he understands public interests.

Manuel served for the very best interests of the nation. He did more than just working to guarantee our basic human rights or needs. South Africa (SA)became a better nation. When I look at how businesses have posted about human rights day in SA on the 21st March. I thought of one of the reasons he should venture into business. He worked hard to ensure that our rights spread to more people equally and in quality.

As a leader who retired while still on top to the whole of SA, his world class image that he gained as a professional politician will work for him in competing with other big businesses.  Even those big businesses want him.

People should always consider doing business on their own. Especially people with great potential and ability like Manuel. With his experience at being service to the people he is competent to independently be a success in free enterprise. There is a big gap in the society and private sector for the right business leaders.

The way he has been in the African National Congress (ANC) and government shows how much he understands or able to working with to address our communities needs. He has been one of the few good public servants in government. SA will always love him for what he did to keep the country working and moving forward.

As a tenderpreneur he would fill the gap of lack of good quality services to our communities. We want to see such people’s businesses very visible in our society. It is what must happen slowly but surely, our businesses be better alternative to international businesses.

Manuel could organize a world class business organization. He has the skill and experience based potential. His National Development Plan (NDP) is praised by everybody to be business friendly. SAn people are still going to give business a chance and as the environment allows let’s get involved. Our life depends on it to improve. Its a better way of making SA self sustainable.

There are a lot of foundations, not that they not needed, now as our country is strong, for it to become more stronger leaders like Manuel, Thabo Mbeki, etc should venture into business. We need that and the younger you are the better to let your mind engage with it. Its a very interesting journey, you go through very interesting things and meet very interesting people. We need him for peoples service, job creation and working the economy.

SA should act as the emerging power it is- Crimea.

By: Sivuyile S. Sesi (t) @756Writing

South Africa (SA) is an emerging power, so we should act like it. Doing nothing is the disservice to our hard earned international status. Russia is doing wrong in Ukraine. With our relations with them, we are better able to engage for better solutions. We should be building each other than allowing destruction. Are we forgetting the philosophy of ubuntu that we are in good because of each other? Let’s practise that to help each other to be the best we can be. SA is this great nation because others believe in us.

We should play our part in keeping others accountable with global good and international standards and not let United States, United Kingdom, France, just be them who care about the world. For that being subject of blame game while when we had time we done nothing about it to help. We have platforms and we the biggest economy in Africa, so let’s assert the continent. Lets be proactive with addressing matters.

Let’s be constructive with Russia, China, America and any other country in our pursuit and commitments with the international world. As Nelson Mandela says it “playing small doesn’t serve the world”. Let’s be the shining light for the world. That is how we should assert ourselves as an emerging power. Using ourselves to make things work for us.

Russia is military attacking Ukraine, Russia is kicked out off G8, sanctioned by the West. Why, is that good should we be hard too on them? Do they seem to represent our relation interests? A citizen may question in SA. The take of The Elders on Ukraine’s condition, they commented? We have people with good knowledge about our country, nationally and internationally. Even their work prove that, they have served for our best interests. For an example Trevor Manuel, Thabo Mbeki, mayor of Cape Town Patricia de Lille, etc people would ask them about such matters. Vladimir Putin might have to be a decision maker in a meeting with Jacob Zuma. SA is an emerging power we should use that power for our good than undermining our nation.

SA did not do well with Jacob Zuma’s administration as an emerging power, we can’t take the Zimbabwe economic route, one way or the other it is now that we should find ways to pick ourselves up. In 2014 its elections in SA. We need to take good political decision, chose the right leaders for the right positions, our economy to grow depends on it.

SA have to work on development plans. The National Development Plan is even praised by Democratic Alliance the main opposition party. For such to work we need to play our part and be proactive. I am not saying we should be hard or push over.

Russia seems to be involved in support of governments resolving in wars, eg Syria. China is unreliable for SA global direction. Is SA too small to take tough global moves when injustice take place? Doesn’t SA’s emerging power status need to be taken into effect or should we be quiet and accept anything even if its wrong. If we can be more tough against injustice the more we can be trusted for good international platforms to advance ourselves with other nations. Being a big global player like the US is not an easy job. Human rights and justice need us to be clear of ourselves and what we stand for. We should prove our stand in relation with the world. We should be decisive about that.

If we not careful this country is slowly losing its emerging power status. The recent political decisions and events are drowning us. Also Russia seems to be going down. We should take different route for our commitment to the global cause, that in turn will serve us good. Since the 1990s, here in SA because of good democratic decisions we have become this great nation that every body well recognize and respect. We should never let go of what is good for us. We need to work it. Just as we should be good to other nations in need.

SA defeated apartheid because of assistance from other nations, so we are a country that should know better about that. The world need us so let’s be helpful.Let’s take responsibility of what we have.By: Sivuyile S. Sesi (t) @756Writing
